[Challenge #53: Unilateral] Inuyasha: 'Drown'
Title: 'Drown'
Fandom: Inuyasha
Author:
but_can_i_be_trusted
Rating: G
Word Count: 103
Characters/Pairings: Inuyasha, original minor character
Warnings: None
Notes: Crossposted in slightly abbreviated form to
emotion100 and
100words
Summary: His opponent's words still ring in his ears.
The fight had been a unilateral one. Leaving one combatant victorious.
And the other left to lick his wounds, his tail between his legs.
Inuyasha lies in the mud, ignoring the rain that streams down around him. He curses bitterly, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
His opponent's words still ring in his ears. Words of contempt that still sting, though their speaker walked away some time ago.
"Worthless little half-demon," the other had sneered. "You're not even worth fighting. Let the rain drown you."
Inuyasha curses again, rising and nursing aching muscles. These demons are all alike: Bigoted fanatics.
