Title: Call of War
Fandom: Fire Emblem Fates
Author:
elidelio
Rating: G
Word Count: 180
Summary: Corrin takes a moment to wonder if they’ve chosen the right path.
War trumpets blared their bellicose song as the army marched forward, but Corrin was no longer moved by the call. How many times had they done this? When would the killing end? Had they done the right thing? The answers to these questions didn’t matter, it was too late to ask, too late to go back.
Though they knew they were ultimately working for good, every step they took in pursuit of that goal felt like it was exacerbating the situation. What if they failed at the last second? What if they were wrong?
Corrin looked to their Nohrian siblings, and hoped for their sake that they weren’t. They were also concerned about their newfound Hoshidan family, of course, but after their betrayal they didn’t think they had the right to be worried about the others. After all, everything endangering them now was of Corrin’s own doing.
They readjusted their grip on the Yato and steeled themselves for the battle ahead. Corrin refused to waver now, they would have to see it through to the end.
