Parker lay supine on the grass, gazing up at the sky. “I finally got my date under the stars,” she murmured. A feeling of peace stole over her, rare enough to still be surprising. The latest job successfully completed; the team was taking a much-needed break before heading back. A field in the middle of nowhere Iowa seemed like a perfect place to rest.
“Gonna make a wish, babe?” Hardison asked from her right side.
Parker considered. “Don’t need to,” she finally declared. She slipped one hand into his and the other into Eliot’s. “My wish already came true.”
