Summary: Theo asks Oliver if he has any regrets... does he?
“Hey, Oli, if you’d known that I survived dying… would you still have done it?”
Oliver looks up from his book, staring at Theo with a quizzical expression.
“What do you mean?” he tries not to sound too annoyed, reminding himself to have patience.
“Well,” Theo scratches his nose. “It’s just a rhetorical question, innit. I was just curious if you had any regrets.”
“What kind of regrets do you think I’d have?” he humours his brother for a moment.
“Dunno,” Theo shrugs. “Like, maybe you miss daylight or somethin’.”
Oliver laughs, though the sound is rather brief. “No, not really.”
“Ah,” Theo nods. “Then, food?”
“Not particularly,” he shrugs.
“Really?” Theo presses. “Nothin’?”
Oliver looks towards the blackened window of his haven, picturing the dark landscape of his new reality. Does he have any regrets? Undoubtedly, but… doesn’t everyone? Any decision would lead to regrets either way, it was just a matter of picking the ones he could live with. Or, not live with, in this case.
“Maybe I do miss the sun a little,” he finally muses.
“Really?” this time, Theo smirks. “A proper night-owl like you?”
“Oh, shut up,” Oliver smacks Theo on the arm, laughing. “Prick.”
