“I just don’t get it," Mike murmured, staring at his slumbering bandmate.
Micky was sprawled out on the couch, deep in a strong nap. Now and then, he mumbled under his breath.
“If the hokey-pokey’s what it’s all about, then what’s the hokey-pokey itself about,” he dreamingly wondered. “And what’s the ‘it’ that the hokey-pokey is supposed to be all about?”
“What an odd character.” Shaking his head in bewilderment, Mike glanced over at Peter. “What’s he even talkin’ about, anyway?”
Peter smiled. “Micky’s either deep in a discussion about the ultimate mysteries of the universe,” he responded, “or else he’s waxing rhetorical for the heck of it.”
