Biggles leaned back in his chair, put his hands behind his head, and grinned. “It was Christmas, Algy. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to Men. Even Germans. And I tried to order a tender to fetch a pilot to see if any of the sausages were saved in the crash. No dice.”
