Ennis's perennial darkness had obfuscated their feelings from each other and from themselves. Ghosts from the past had cleared the waters, but only when they had started to listen.
In bed, Navarro was brushing Liz's hair with her fingers. Morning sunlight came through the window.
"She was in my dreams again last night."
"Julia?"
"Yeah."
Danvers's hand touched Navarro's. "And how did it go?"
Navarro closed her eyes. "I held her hand and she said my name, Siqiññaatchiaq. I just… wish she'd been here to hear it."
"Yeah. But I'm sure she'd be happy for you."
Navarro smiled. "She is."

I've seen this show advertised, and it looks really good. Unfortunately, I don't have HBO. Maybe I'll get to see it someday though. Your drabble makes me want to watch even more.

Thank you! I enjoyed the season, but I'm supporting it even more after it's received hatred from misogynists and racists (which I separate from legit criticism, of course) as well as mean comments from the creator of the first seasons of the show. It's just unfair so it makes me support this season more! I hope you enjoy it when you can watch it :)
