Title: The Privacy Imbroglio
Fandom: Torchwood
Author: Cat Moon
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairing: Ianto POV (others mentioned)
Words: 200
Summary: Owen plays an unwitting matchmaker for Ianto and Jack
Notes: It occurred to me when I got this idea that it could very well have been one of the things that influenced Jack and Ianto's relationship to become closer starting at the end of the 2nd series.
The Privacy Imbroglio
Ianto privately referred to their new situation as 'the privacy imbroglio'. Perhaps he was being melodramatic, but it did tick many of the boxes. Owen was spending a lot of time at the Hub since he'd died, which caused complications. Suddenly Owen was privy to a side of Ianto's relationship with Jack that he'd kept carefully separate all this time. It had certainly been embarrassing when the medic had walked in on the lovers in flagrante. There were plenty of intricacies involved in their search for time alone, and to top it all off Ianto was beginning to think Owen was purposely seeking them out in their hiding places, just to mess with him.
It had become a huge issue indeed. Things had to change.
And so, they had changed. The couple was spending less time at the Hub now, with Jack coming back to Ianto's more often. It was becoming a regular thing now. He even had his own drawer and half a closet. Not to mention the toiletries in the bathroom… It was domestic and comfortable and terrifying.
Ianto never thought Owen Harper would be giving his relationship a boost.
Maybe not an imbroglio, but strange times indeed.
