Title: Keeping Watch
Fandom: Leverage: Redemption
Author: Cat Moon
Rating: G
Words: 168
Characters: Eliot, Parker (mentioned)
Summary: When there’s trouble with one of the other crews, Parker doesn’t rest
Notes: Inspired by “The Museum Makeover Job.” It’s been bugging me that Parker seems like an afterthought most of this season. I decided my head-canon is that she’s distracted by involvement with the other Leverage International crews, and this episode gave me 'evidence' to back that up.
Eliot sat cross-legged on the couch, eyes closed, pretending to be deep in meditation when he was really listening to Parker. She’d been up all night on an online meeting with one of their international crews. There were serious issues with the latest job.
They turned to her too much in Eliot’s estimation, but he knew she took her responsibility to them seriously. She was THE Parker, and the other teams lionized her. She was a celebrity, the greatest thief in the world, and the head of Leverage International.
Eliot frowned in frustration. He wanted Parker to rest; they had their own job in the morning but knew she wouldn’t until the other team was safe. Having Sophie back and running the New Orleans crew gave Parker a break. Still, when another team was in trouble, she would keep watch over them, coordinating and providing whatever assistance she could, not resting until they finished the job and everyone was safe.
So, Eliot stayed and kept watch over Parker.
