There was a beautiful girl in his doorway, and for once, Spike didn't want to shag her. He had to smile as he watched the older, calico cat apricating in the puddle of sunlight he'd dared to allow into his crypt. The things he did for these bloody cats! He'd actually asked Dawn to leave the door slightly ajar when she'd left. Lady Imperious, or Queen Imperious as he also had a wont to call her, rolled around in the rare puddle of sunshine, frisking her tail and ears at him and exposing her belly.
She looked up suddenly, hearing footsteps. "I smelled her first," Spike taunted, still grinning. Suddenly there were two beautiful women in the sunlight. The older, far sexier, and definitely more human, one stepped into the shadows where he waited without paying the queen any attention.
"Meow?" Imperious flicked her ears indignantly at Buffy.
"She likes me more," Spike taunted with a wide grin, wrapping his arms around Buffy and kissing her deeply. It didn't matter that he couldn't step into that sunshine. The wonderful woman in his arms was all the warmth and love he'd ever need; the cat, and her sister, were just bonuses.
