Title: 'Experiments'
Fandom: The Monkees
Author:
but_can_i_be_trusted
Rating: G
Word Count: 181
Characters/Pairings: Micky Dolenz
Warnings: None
Summary: "Me and my stupid experiments..."
His heart weighted down with dismay, Micky gazed at the disaster area that had once been the Pad's kitchen.
"I'm really gonna be in for it, this time," he groaned, waving away wafts of smoke. "Me and my stupid experiments..."
He'd gotten carried away, as usual. Broken beaker shards lay strewn across the floor. Chemicals that were, luckily, harmless (but, unluckily, extremely viscous), stained various surfaces. This would be a nightmare to clean up. Provided that he could even manage to. The prospect was daunting.
Slumping at the table, Micky buried his face in his hands. "If only Babbitt would decide to randomly go out of town for the week," he muttered. "He could be here any minute, now."
Abruptly spurred on by that horrid thought, he shoved himself upright, quickly digging up cleaning supplies. The sooner he could do damage control on the Pad, the better off he'd be. Because, while the landlord was a grouch on a good day, the vituperations that he'd unleash if he saw the mess would be far more vicious than Micky dared to contemplate.
