Summary: Babbitt stopped dead in his tracks, overwhelmed.
Babbitt stopped dead in his tracks, overwhelmed. "What in the world has been going on in here now?!"
The Pad smelled distinctly of yeast dough. And it looked troublingly like the interior of a loaf of bread. Smears of dough were everywhere. Not confined merely to the kitchen, streaks of it were draped along the stair railing, and dollops dangled from the furniture.
"Dolenz is behind this, isn't he," Babbitt snarled, glaring at the ubiquitous doughy blobs.
Peter raised his hands. "He was only trying to be nice," he insisted, "and make bread for everyone in the neighborhood. Including you."
