Now that they're over, Ross wonders what he saw in Rachel. God knows that intellectual attraction had no involvement in their relationship.
She can be so childish, at times, and so dismissive of his interests. Pejorative, even as she swoons over something as fluffy as fashion. Clothing might be a must, and it's always nice to look presentable. But scientific and historic knowledge help humanity to understand its place in the universe. It's more important than who's wearing what.
Sure, it hurts that Rachel has cast him aside. But being involved with her was never simple.
Perhaps he's better off.
