Davy whistled at the citation Micky'd received for helping the police take down Babyface's gang.
"Wow. That is quite an honor," he praised. "Wouldn't you know it? You get the chance to become a hero to the city, and I'm off visiting my family in Manchester! I wish I could've been here."
"No, man." Micky shook his head. "You don't."
Taken aback, Davy stared. His friend, usually so fatuous, looked deathly pale.
"I'm glad you were back home," Micky continued. "It wasn't pretty. I could've been killed. Worse: I could've gotten Mike and Peter killed. You were the lucky one."
