Title: A Letter Never Sent
Fandom: Good Omens
Author: Cat Moon
Rating: PG
Characters/Relationships: Crowley, Aziracrow
Words: 186
Summary: Spoilers for season 2. Angsty feelings from Crowley after Aziraphale leaves. These are Crowley's feelings, assumptions, and misunderstandings and don't reflect Aziraphale's side of things.
Notes: It's not much, but at this point, I'm putting quantity – and quantity – over quality in an effort to kickstart myself into writing again. Piddly drabbles will have to do for now.
My Angel,
I'm addicted to you like a drug.
I don't know what you've done to me. I crave you like humans crave air in their lungs. You were the only good, pure thing in my existence.
Everything I couldn't have. I knew that, but I hoped anyway. The inevitable fall doesn't hurt any less when you see it coming. I would have done anything for you, given you anything you wanted…
Except for that.
Because you see, once changed, I wouldn't be the demon who fell in love with you.
You saw perfection, me back with a halo on my head. I saw reality.
We could never be us, if I wasn't me.
I was wrong, there are two things I can't do for you. I can't stop loving you, either. And out of all the ways I'm damned, that's the worst.
Forever, Crowley
Crowley watched as flames licked the delicate white paper until it was nothing but ash. Epistolary endeavors weren't his forte, anyway. Letters were more Aziraphale's thing, with his beautiful flowing script and fancy wax seal.
Beauty wasn't meant for him.
