[Challenge #96: Peiskos] Original Poetry: 'How Close'

Title: 'How Close'
Fandom: Original Poetry

Summary: Of warmth beside the fires

How close we are to autumn now
And cloudy, shadowed skies
I long to see the dull green leaves
As rainbows in my eyes

The days of peiskos draw so near
Of warmth beside the fires
Of home-cooked meals and coziness
To which my heart aspires

How soon before the crisp, chill air
Chases off summer's heat
And rainy days with warm baked goods
To make my days complete

Lovely poem! Looking forward to all those things, as well.

I see you've been playing catch-up with the prompts, as well. I've "only" got four months' worth of them to do. LOL
