Fandom: True Detective: Night Country
Author:
dickinsons
Rating: T
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Liz Danvers/Evangeline Navarro
Warnings: vague mention of suicide
Summary: Navarro recounts her latest dream
Ennis's perennial darkness had obfuscated their feelings from each other and from themselves. Ghosts from the past had cleared the waters, but only when they had started to listen.
In bed, Navarro was brushing Liz's hair with her fingers. Morning sunlight came through the window.
"She was in my dreams again last night."
"Julia?"
"Yeah."
Danvers's hand touched Navarro's. "And how did it go?"
Navarro closed her eyes. "I held her hand and she said my name, Siqiññaatchiaq. I just… wish she'd been here to hear it."
"Yeah. But I'm sure she'd be happy for you."
Navarro smiled. "She is."
