That has pierced the Elf Queen's heart
Who dared commit this foul misdeed
What hand has loosed the fatal dart
Hear how her breath does falter
Ah, see her life fading there
Who could have brought about
Such harsh depths of Stygian despair
The act, so cruel, so brutal
Can never after be reversed
The fiend who thought to dare thus
Is now and evermore accursed
Find who has fired the arrow
Let not the miscreant in freedom go
When once they have been found out
Let them no mercy ever, ever know
